Denis Savill lists redundant Paddington art gallery after 35 years

After 35 years ownership, Denis Savill, the long time Paddington art dealer, is listing his redundant gallery some four years after its last exhibition.

The Hargrave St premises are set for auction through Ben Collier at The Agency.

The octogenarian Savill, who hosted 1000s of gallery openings, paid $275,000 in 1985 after moving from the Gordon Marsh Gallery in Double Bay.

The gallery is set to become a home.

The 190 sqm space is possibly set to become a private residence. It happened down the street with the Paul Kenny antique gallery.
